Archery Instructors are level 2 certified to teach and certify other adults. Archery
Instructors are the foundation of GSNEO Archery programs, and archery program development.
Obtaining this certification not only provides you with valuable knowledge and hands-on
skills, but also boosts the marketing value of our program. Instructor Certifications
are recognized by both USA Archery and the National Field Archery Association. Archery
Instructor Course Content: Basic shooting steps, introduce intermediate shooting steps,
safety, range set-up; equipment setup and repair, fitting equipment to an archer,
how to teach archery and how to teach a Level 1 Instructor Course. Term of appointment:
is 3 years (renewable); recertification is required every 3 years. Time Commitment:
Instructors are required to teach at least two (2) Archery Facilitator courses, complete
two (2) on-site Archery facilitator evaluations, and facilitate at least two (2) days
of Archery program. Total Course Cost is $168 (GSNEO will subsidize $100; volunteer pays $68 with a signed agreement. If the volunteer is unable to follow through with responsibilities outlined in the Position Description, GSNEO reserves the right to invoice volunteer the subsidized amount).
